# Connectors

Connectors give AI access to the sources it needs to be useful, such as internal data, operational systems, or workspace content. In practice, connectors are what make AI answers more grounded and less generic.

## Why connectors matter

AI is most useful when it can work from the same trusted context your team already uses. Connectors help bring that context into the workflow without forcing people to restate it manually every time.

## Good connector design

Good connectors are:

* clearly scoped
* easy to review
* aligned with workspace permissions
* tied to a real business workflow
